Windows Phone Thoughts has put up a video of a 17 minute walkthrough their Chris Pirillo got with Microsoft's Greg Sullivan. Updated: WMPowerUser has posted 2 more demo videos from Tech Ed Middle East. Once shows cross-platform gaming and the other shows two forms of multi-tasking.

Looks good, I just wish they’d remove that arrow and fit the hubs to edge. It just seems unbalanced the way it is. Also I’d like it if the transitions were faster when you select something. Overall though its looking like MS has a great contender for the cell market.
I was a WM 6(.5) user for almost 4 years and really loved it.
I just moved to android when I heard that all my applicaions for 6.5 wouldn’t move over to 7.
I am on a rooted droid now and am really loving it.
It is hackable and fully customizable, just the way I like it. It really feels like he way WM 6.5 did when I was really enjoying using it.
I know you won’t be able to hack WM7, they will lock it down.
Anyone else slamming thier screen trying to hit the “Settings” button on the app screen lol? Can’t believe this guy wasted this interview dealing with the same exact crap from MWC, get some new stuff out of it. We know it’s a facebook phone already.
Looks decent for the most part, and being that I am a huge xboxlive addict its good to see decent xboxlive support with acheivements. As far as the rest of the phones features I think it looks pretty good, can’t wait to see the final product.
I like it.. I already own a zune hd and IMO it blows the itouch away. I watch all my shows on my zune.. 720p and it goes everywhere with me.. If this new phone has the video capabilities that the zune hd does I will likely ditch my touch pro 2 for it.. I will stick with windows! APPLE SUCKS!

ummmm so with those dedicated keys on the front of the screen and all that pizzaz on the home screen…. WHERE IS THE ACTUAL PHONE FUNCTION? lol. i don’t remember seeing any softkeys or anything in regards to a one touch link to the dialer. did i miss something?
Am I missing something? What are these “2 forms of multitasking” of which you speak?
The multiple tabs in the browser? That’s still one app running with multiple processes. Even the notorious iPhone can run a remote desktop client and “multitask” on the host PC, but that doesn’t count, does it?
Maybe I’m missing something? Please help me understand…
UPDATE: I checked out the original post on WMPowerUsers, and apparently the “multitasking” they refer to is the live tile effect, where the pages are updated in real time, and the fact that the page was already open in the background and loaded, which means it wasn’t “closed” when navigated away.
These were already known from the original rumor- First of all, the suspend/push notify thing was rumored before MWC, and I thought even showed off at the event. iPhone and even the old-school Palm OS could do that- when you go back home, the app is frozen in time, waiting for you to resume where you left off. That’s not multitasking, that’s suspending.
The other thing is the tiles-based multitasking, which I will admit is kind of cool, but very limited in how you can actually multitask (apps will run in a minimized “tile” state, but won’t actually be fully open. Some functionality is there, but this is different than having multiple apps open, all working at the same time and swapping between them).
This is better than nothing, but still not enough to convince me this isn’t a step backwards from Photon.
If they were speaking Persian in the 3rd video, I could’ve translated for you!
Why are the default tiles sooo bloody UGLY, who had the bright idea of showing off this phone with the NO defualt home screen eye candy to speak of.
Even the plain text of the Zune is better looking than the default tiles. I really hope the polish has not been put on windows 7 yet
Since this being a site about ppc, it would be great if there were handy rtsp links we can copy into Streaming Media.
