Nexus One Coming To Sprint Too?
Considered yourself warned and take this information with a grain of salt. While the At&t rumor has a little more evidence to back it up (FCC filings showing their 3G bands), a new rumor is circling the web saying that the Nexus One will be coming to Sprint sometime in the future. This rumor all started from an email though, so there's no hard evidence other than a Sprint rep typing the response.
“Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding the nexus one.
Unfortunately, this handset model is not on offer as of now.
Once it is launched, you will see promotional campaigns related to the launch date, cost and the features of the handset on our Web site and other promotional media.
Thank you for showing interest in our products & services. Please let us know if you would like us to assist you with anything else.”
Again, this isn't much to go on, but it sounds promising.

instead of the nexus 1 I wanna see the hd2 in sprint clothing… but im curious… will google sell it too like they did with tmoble or it will be avail at sprint and best buy like all other sprint phones.
My guess is that it will be sold through Google. Google is wanting to sell this phone through their own channels it seems like instead of letting the carriers have control over it.
If I had a buck for every time a Sprint rep told me a load of BS…
I doubt it. “Once it is launched” –> “If it is launched” morelikely
If I wasn’t feeling lazy I would e-mail ecare with some random albeit well known phone that is obviously not coming to sprint and see if I get the same canned response.
I have an upgrade on the back burner for something of that nature.
Bottom line if or when I see it, “Its mine”. Fact
my money is on probably not, likely an automatically generated response to a phone they don’t have. why would sprint bother with the N1 when the Supersonic is coming and its everything the N1 is and then
I don’t even want the Nexus One anymore. There are another class of devices on the horizon, and the uncertainty of WM7.
You guys do realize this is a canned answer from Sprint that means nothing?
I quote from July 2009, regarding the TP2 (which admittedly did come to Sprint, but note the verbiage):

@bkrodgers – We can still hope
I think Google would want their phone to be available on all carriers, to be fully “unlocked”. It is currently on T-Mobile, has been confirmed for Verizon, and now there is a possibility of being on AT&T (why couldn’t Google just include AT&T bands on the initial device…why make another separate device?). It also couldn’t hurt sprint to carry this device.
@tokuzumi – Unfortunately there hasn’t been a radio that can support all the 3G bands that At&t and T-Mobile uses. It would completely change things if this was developed though, but so far there hasn’t been a phone out there that can support all of the 3G bands for GSM.
i would assume one is coming to Sprint also. Verizon for sure is getting it, Att looks like its getting it, why wouldn’t Sprint get it? the only thing that sucks is by the time Sprint gets it, other phones will be out there that are better or equal. Why does Sprint make you wait so long then when they get it other carriers are on to new devices.
yep it is coming
