Sprint To Debut WiMAX Phone Jan. 6th?
Eric Zeman from Information Week has put together some interesting leads which makes him believe LG will be debuting a Windows Mobile device to run on Sprint and Clearwire's 4G WiMAX network. Sprint has scheduled a press conference on January 6th, the day before the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). LG and Microsoft play a large role in the presentation, with Brooke Shields hosting an after party. Supposedly Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will be involved in the presentation. Sprint has been promoting this event as a "must attend" and saying it will be the "hottest spot at CES".

mmm, do I smell a snapdragon?..
i smell a cheese cake!!!
WE BETTER BE SMELLING SNAPDRAGON!!
This is nothing new technology wise, Yota in Russia deployed the HTC MAX 4G a GSM/WIMAX handset on their network.
What would be interesting is if/how they use VOIP over their WIMAX network. Also whether the plan for this thing costs an arm and a leg like their hybrid Clear/Sprint data card plan right now.
could the HD2be involved in this ? well if sprint get it !
Either way it will be interesting to see if Sprint can pull this off properly and kinda set themselves apart from the fickle Verizon VS ATT battle going on for 3G. Sprint just comes in and says. Ya 3G is so 2000′s.. Were rolling in 4G for the 2010′s (Er something like that lol)
whatever phone it may be..my piggy bank is goin to be shattered in 20 million bits of pieces..
It’s about time Sprint pulled something out of their hat.
Hesse will be there as his ego wouldn’t let him not be.
maybe u smell what the rock is cookin. i think its the htc touch hd2 wimax.
