Toshiba TG01 Destined For Verizon?
| Our forum member ajac has posted an article from PhoneArena that shows the Toshiba TG01 may be coming to Verizon. The screenshot is from a CelleBrite machine, which transfers info from one phone to another. While there's no Verizon logo or anything else in the picture, its rumored to be from a Verizon store. While this is no HD2, it is still a heavy hitter for high-end devices. If this is true, and Verizon ends up with the Imagio and the TG01, it is very doubtful that they will be getting the HD2 anytime soon. | ![]() |

Those cellebrites have more than just verizon phones in them…
So even though it could have been from a Verizon store, it may not be a Verizon phone? Interesting!
I just brought back an unlocked TG01 GSM phone from the UK. Doesn’t do HSPDA due to lack of proper frequency but makes up for it with screen and sheer speed. I have never used an HTC device that is as fast as this thing. Programs snap open. Smooth video. Scrolling web pages. Just a great device.
I would love to see it with some custom ROM.
eh the model number of it screams verizon..the V at the end and all
Cellebrite is used by every major carrier to move contacts/pictures etc. Cellebrite includes phones from Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile, ATT, selected worldwide carriers and so forth. There really is no such thing as a Verizon cellebrite or a Sprint cellebrite. Only info really is the model number. Cellebrite generally puts carrier information next the phone in parenthesis. For example the hero would look like this: HTC Hero CDMA(Sprint).
This doesn’t mean it isn’t coming to verizon, just means the cellebrite isn’t really telling you anything other than a model number and the picture could have been taken from anywhere.
yeah Im at a sprint store and that phone is in my cellebrite as well, which means WE are getting it(lol)
