FCC Approves At&t’s Purchase of Centennial Wireless


att-centennial Today, the FCC gave their stamp of approval on At&t’s purchase of Centennial Wireless, a small US carrier of about 893,000 subscribers. The deal is for $944 million. Centennial Wireless had coverage in the midwest, southwest, and Puerto Rico. Centennial shareholders will get $8.50/share and At&t says the Centennial stores will be re-branded by January 2010.
