Simply Everything customers will also begin receiving unconditional call forwarding (immediate) included in their plan beginning late November. Additional information will be available soon.

^Over and over, I said if call forwarding is included in the Simply Everything/EPRP plans, I would have the perfect plan. I really hope EPRP is included with the unconditional call forwarding offer.
Reply

"... that why Sprint fits most of us."

You're not being endorsed by any means.

There are forum members here that are fans of Sprint, but to presume that the majority of users of this website is, ummm. Well, I'll just say dumb again.

Yeah! Yeah right! Come on dude. I just wrote that I could agree with the concept in your point. No need for me to see if your reference's equations were right. I noted that the cost of all the contracts through each service provider is negligible and if some people are willing to sacrifice certain things with each company, go for it. Sprint isn't ahead of anyone at this point in the game. Again I say, check out the recent rates of the top companies and you'll find an individual plan that agrees with you. The battle for our dollars has gone nuclear.

Geez!!! I just wanted to tone down the rhetoric and now here you come looking for a pat on the back. Now, since when has Sprint been known to be a company that's the shit. I can go to any website and read how they're trashed in 1000's of way (customer service, no variety in phones, flagship phones suck- Samsung Instinct). Absurd post man!! It's because they've been getting their asses handed to them recently is the reason their trying so hard. I'd jump to the carrier that I feel best works with my wallet. I've read countless times "I'd get that phone if only it was on Verizon's superior service". Now here you go stating the ridiculous. Sprint is #3 in users? Correct!

I do digg the $70 everything plan, but I get that on Verizon as well. Along with the better coverage, superior service, and CS. Guest that's why they are rated #1 in Consumer ratings and subscribers.

I simply want the baddest, kickass service and phone out there. At this point I'd have to say Sprint isn't the one, but they are getting there.

So are Tmobile, and Verizon.

If you all are so inclined to see whose best (poster-Genjunaro). Type in the words Metro PCS and LTE 4G innovation into your search bar... seems like those guys may be the true game changers within the next year. And unlike some of the closed minded individuals that have posted. My brain is free to switch and choose.
Reply

So you agree its not so silly after all? ;) That competitve aspect is what you benefit from:

"Thus lowering cost and furthering technological advancements. Competition is good for everybody."

Haven't looked at the referenced site that you've posted, but if it is accurate, sounds like it'd be good information that should factor into anyone's next device purchase.
Again though, I'd like to harp again that any announcements from these Service carriers that benefits the consumer needs to be promoted by us in order to rachet up pressure on the other Companies. Thus lowering cost and furthering technological advancements. Competition is good for everybody. Keeps them on their toes.
Reply

Reference below from BillShrink.com. I don't claim fanboyism but I know a good deal when I see one. I'm one to do research before I buy. As a matter of fact I'm still looking and/or waiting for a new phone/service provider since my contract with Sprint is up at the end of November. I still own and love my Sprint HTC Touch/Vogue that I have had for the past two years that I have modded to my delight. It's time to put it to rest for a shiny new more advanced device. And if I see the device and service plan I like on another carrier, I might jump ship. But based on the research from bill shrink, I can spend up to $450 on a new device and still come out ahead in the long run with Sprint. I just saying.

This conversation has gotten really silly. Guys, when is the last time you checked prices and fees of all the Phone companies? I'm not defending Verizon. I'm saying competition in the market place is a good thing and if you check out the new prices of the big service providers (minus ATT) they have more or less matched Sprint for lowest cost plans within the last month. That makes Sprints overall contract the most bloated.

Do a little basic research before you shout out nonsense. All of those companies are offering all you can eat plans for about 70 bucks. Which in the end doesn't explain why Sprint would charge so much for the same phone.

If everyone started blindly defending a phone and their service providers just because??? Then they should just be given a title similar to the one for Iphone lovers. Apple Fanboys.
Reply

That Verizon phone bill is 2 years of expensive month to month hassle & you can never negotiate that with VZW.

So who really wins here?
Reply

I'm sure a few of you did after scheming and making up crazy stories to get one. What a hassle. I've read the blogs of how you guys had to beg for a cost reduction or cry about tp1 being broken.
Seems like a big hassle compared with Verizon's straight up $199.
Reply

hughedee, many of us Sprint users did not pay $350 for a TP2.
By the way Great320. Simple question I have for yah. Why have you been with sprint for over 6 years. Sounds to me like you don't like your service provider. Trust me I'm not impressed by your so called smarts when I look at the receipt of my Touch Pro 2 from Verizon. You went through sprint right? at the cost of? Well, if you can't recall the price you paid for it. Let me you remind you $350. And don't post some crap story of how smart you are again by saying that you got it for free or discounted because you'll just sound like an even bigger dumbass.
Reply

Wow is that kid a joke or what? Most of us have been using winmo 6.5 for months now. After all, it's been extremely easy and convenient to port over that stuff from the great work some of the folks that have been putting on this site (currently using some form of 6.5.1) Just to let you know I also own devices TP1, TP2 so no biggie for your creditials. Been installing various Roms and hacks for awhile now.
My point is just don't get so fixated on the stupid stuff kid. Give those guys (Sprint) credit for shaking things up.
Personally, I'm hoping that they'll offer the visual voicemail on all of their devices. Now that'd be great news too.
Reply

What would be the problem? Let's say that I set up conditional forwarding to my GV number. Someone calls my cell and gets no answer. The call should be routed to my GV number, ring my land line + Gizmo project.

Am I missing something?
Reply

@gimme5

Unfortunately, Google will not hunt for you if you're only using conditional forwarding. It will only call multiple phones if your GV number is dialed directly.

From Google:
"More specifically, if you sign up for Google Voice with your existing number, you'll get:

    * Online, searchable voicemail
    * Free automated voicemail transcription
    * Custom voicemail greetings for different callers
    * Email and SMS notifications
    * Low-priced international calling

If you decide to also get a new Google number, you'll get all of the above PLUS:

    * One number that reaches you on all your phones
    * SMS via email
    * Call screening
    * Listen In
    * Call recording
    * Conference calling
    * Call blocking"

I have not had problem using this feature (*28) on Sprint since Google made that announcement a few days ago. It's likely Sprint is still charging for conditional forwarding at this time but the feature is available.
Reply

Greatness320, just a couple of things about your post:

The fact you have a TP2 won't make anyone feel stupid.

"Tech savy like me": This doesn't exactly scream tech savvy to me: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=884226&postcount=12

"something no one barely uses". No one uses it yet because it's not implemented (obviously). You may not use it, ok, but tons of people will. Example: Reception in my house is not the greatest. I only get 1xRTT downstairs. No biggie, but when my phone is using the 1x data connection, calls go straight to voicemail. With this feature, it should be (hopefully) over! Calls would go to my GV number or my land line!
Reply
