Rumor or Fact? Leo/HD2 is Sprint Adonis?
Only time will tell. PPCGeeks user boredmug has reported that a Sprint Rep (of unknown status or position) said the HTC Leo/HD2 will be called the Sprint Adonis and will be released around Christmas time.
This doesn't appear to have been reported anywhere else since all links point back to PPCGeeks, but if the rumor is true, this is great news since the Leo appears to be one of the most sought after phones coming out.
With T-Mobile rumored to be releasing it, this would be a great move for Sprint and could possibly pull people away from the Verizon Wireless Imagio.
We can only wait and hope.

Time to save those pennies
Yep yep, i’m getting it once it drops, full price or a 2 year contract i’m getting it.
damn, halfway this year and coming to next year is going to be a battle for the best phone and who get it first…. let see what happen…..
I just purchased my TP2 last sat. If leaked screenshots or other hard evidence comes out before my 30 days is up, Im giving up my TP2 and waiting for this baby!!!
damn.. if this is the truth ill be pretty upset i just bought my pro2.. ehh then again maybe not.. ill probably just have to get this as well
Leo/HD2/Adonis, and the fact that the TP2 has the same processor as the tp1, are the only reasons I haven’t jumped on the TP2 bandwagon.
a friend of a friend :-\ (that sounds horrible but it is true) works for sprint and is testing the HD2 so this sounds right although i doubt it will be out at Christmas
hmmm my rumor about a massive sprint phone is coming true it seems
sadly I can’t see this as being true
Sounds misconstrued.
The talk within circles is Sprint is getting their own ‘Whitestone’ i.e. Imagio device, not HD2 (at least not yet).
Assuming this conversation was remotely accurate, you can leave it up to a Sprint “rep” or whatever to screw up important details like the different between ‘Whitestone’ and ‘Leo’–they are after all both large screen “black slabs” running WinMo.
HTC themselves said 2010 for the HD2 in the States–no way is a CDMA one going to beat an already made GSM version.
I’m pretty sure the cdma touch pro beat all the US gsm versions
Yibrushn you are correct the cdma touch pro did beat all of the gsm versions. Take that Malatesta lol. Also January is Q1 of 2010 so if sprint is planning to announce it around christmas that would be very close to Q1 so it could be very well possible. I have my fingers crossed
And the fact that even though HTC leaks like a sieve on every release, there isn’t any information internally about a massive new phone in 3 months coming to Sprint?
Never seen it happen.
This device has to be already in FCC hands for a Q1 release and we haven’t heard anything yet.
And I’m flat out telling you Sprint is suppose to get an Imagio-like device, not HD2–that is already FCC approved. Much easier to release in the next 3 months.
As far a CDMA Touch Pro beating out GSM here in the U.S., yeah except T-Mobile passed on that device which means the slower AT&T got it later.
And who beat Sprint to the Touch Pro 2? Why T-mobile, the very company reported to get HD2.
Yes and the T-Horrible device wasn’t as well-equipped!
all i have to say is sprint get ur crap together we all want this phone, and it would be nice to put the iphone to shame, and this is the bad boy to do just that… IPHONE UR GOING DOWN LOL!!!!!
Oh man if this is true then im going to instantly hop on the HD2 train.
