if this hits sprint, i will be waiting for it and skipping the touch pro 2
Sept 8th is the TP2 for sprint. If this is true. I could wait another month for the new 6.5
the sprint touch was easily my favorite pda so far, i really liked all the customization that could be done with the cube, but i assume this wont be the case since the touch2 will use flo.
Which version of the phone is this? I’m liking the brushed stainless steel look.
Disregard my last comment… I read it as Touch Pro2. My bad! Still pretty hot though.
At the beginning of the year I upgraded from a Touch to a Touch Pro. Recently I went back to my Touch due to the Pro acting up. Man I love the feel of the OG Touch. I planned to upgrade to the Pro 2, but now I think I will wait for the Touch 2. The slim design, for me outweighs the physical keyboard.
TP2 and TD2 will both have 6.5 in the near future. How will the Touch2 be different than the touch diamond 2?
The touch2 is not as good as the TP2 and TD2 the screen resolution is QVGA and is only 2.8 inches and it also only has 256 mb of ram. The plus is it will have WM 6.5. But everything else is a downgrade to the touch pro2. If you look on there website though, there is a touchflo 3d ontop of the device. That will probably be the first touchflo that is fully compatible with WM6.5
lol…. anyone on this website can install Windows 6.5 (and probably has) already !!!
exactly thats why i stated the above. I don’t think people realize this phone is no where near as good as the touch pro 2 and people are saying they will skip that for this lol
My hubby called Verizon today (Sept8) and they said launch is Friday the 11th
The Touch Pro II is available through Sprint…well, its up on their website now.
Disregard ny last. After some research and reading some reviews I think I will go ahead with the TP2.
Up on Verizon’s website TODAY!
I’m dont agreeing to you. I have both the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro, I wound up using the Diamond. The keyboard isnt worth the weight and size plus the thing is really kind of floppy when you go to hit the button compared to the Diamond. I had the mogul and think the less crowded keyboard there actually was more usable than the touch pro. it feels “bendy” when you press the middle keys, and creaks. The Touch 2 seems to be somewhat equivalent to the Diamond in that it’s basically a keyboardless version of the Touch Pro 2
